Mark Stuart a Possibility for Game 4 Return

Bruins defenseman Mark Stuart skated with the Bruins during their game-day skate Wednesday but will not play in Game 3. According to Stuart, though, he has been medically cleared to play and hasn't ruled out a Game 4 return.

"We'll see, I don't know, it's possible but not my call," said Stuart, who is still sporting an anitbiotic portal on his forearm and will do so for the next two weeks, regardless of whether he plays or not. He has been out since April 1 after undergoing two surgeries for
cellulitis in his finger.

Claude Julien, the man who will make the call,  isn't leaning either way for a Game 4 return but sounded positive when he addressed the media Wednesday afternoon.

"He's progressing pretty good right now," Julien said. "It's a matter of every day, getting a bit more feedback from him, our trainers and our doctors and seeing how close we're getting. We know he's not in tonight, but Game 4 I don't know. I haven't been told by our medical crew that he's ready to go. We're working on getting him into game shape, and once we're there it'll be our decision."

If and when Stuart does return, rookie Adam McQuaid is the likely candidate to be sent up to press level as a healthy scratch.
