Mike Lowell Draws Start at First Base as Red Sox Take On Zack Greinke

The reason the Red Sox dropped the first two games in their series with the Kansas City Royals was pitching.  That’s also how they can regain control of the series.

But the offense will also need to provide Clay Buchholz with a little run support as they face reigning Cy Young winner Zack Greinke.

Victor Martinez has been red-hot, and is batting .400 with a home run and eight RBIs in 35 lifetime at-bats against Greinke.

Kevin Youkilis will get the night off, and Mike Lowell will start in his place at first base. Adrian Beltre and J.D. Drew will each move up a spot in the order.
