Satellite Interference to Impact NESN TV on Monday

Due to a satellite that is adrift and has entered the orbital space of NESN’s satellite, from which NESN and other networks transmit, viewers may experience significant interference or no picture at all from late morning through the afternoon on Monday.

Though the Red Sox have Memorial Day off, NESN does have a live Portland Sea Dogs game scheduled for 1 p.m. It is unfortunate that the telecast will likely be impacted by satellite interference.

Over the past week, many steps have been taken to minimize interference.  However, Monday afternoon is expected to be the worst period, before the situation begins to improve. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
