Think you can do better than the sports announcers and their signature catchphrases?

Well, now's your chance.

The NBA Jam video game, made by EA Sports, is holding a contest to add four new catchphrases to the game — made by fans, selected by fans.

Got a perfect phrase to utter after someone gets a hard foul? Think you can get the crowd fired up after a beautiful alley-oop? Enter the contest, and cross your fingers you make the top 64. From there, fans will vote down to four candidates, all of which will enter video game immortality as a call in the upcoming NBA Jam game.

The submission period begins May 13 and closes on May 19. Voting will then begin May 25.

Perhaps the next "Boom goes the dynamite" star will be found.
