Brian Ickler will be behind some new wheels in Kentucky this weekend.

Ickler, who has made two starts in the No. 16 car for Roush Fenway Racing, will make his debut in the No. 6 Ford Fusion at Kentucky Speedway.

"I’m looking forward to getting in the No. 6 car," Ickler said. "The guys work so hard on preparing fast cars, and I’m just fortunate enough to have another opportunity to get behind the wheel of a Roush Fenway Racing car."

This will be the San Diego native’s fourth career start at the 1.5-mile tri-oval. Last year, Ickler started fourth and finished 21st in his only Camping World Truck Series race at Kentucky Speedway. Ickler also has two top-five finishes and a pole in two ARCA starts in 2009 at Kentucky.

"He’s a good, young driver that has proven himself in every series that he’s raced in," crew chief Mike Kelley said of Ickler.

Roush Fenway Racing has one win, four top-fives and seven top-10s in 16 Nationwide Series starts at Kentucky Speedway.

The No. 6 team sits 34th in NASCAR Nationwide Series owner point standings after 13 races and must qualify on time at Kentucky Speedway, since only the top-30 teams are locked into the event.
