With the 15th pick in the fifth round (135th overall), the Bruins added another offensive weapon to their arsenal with left winger Justin Florek from Northern Michigan.

As a sophomore for the Wildcats, Florek doubled his first-year point total, registering 35 points on 12 goals and 23 assists. Six of his goals were on the power play. In his freshman year, Florek received the award for top freshman on the team after scoring nine goals and tallying eight assists for 17 points. He was also second on the team with a plus-19 rating.

At 6-foot-3, 195 pounds, Florek has a big frame and a long reach that allows him to get to pucks some other players can't, and he should benefit from another year or two at Northern Michigan to help improve his consistency as a scoring threat.
