Kevin Youkilis, Victor Martinez Back in Red Sox Lineup For Series Opener Against Giants

Kevin Youkilis and Victor Martinez are back in the starting lineup for the Red Sox as they open a three-game series with the San Francisco Giants on Friday night.

Youkilis did not start the last two games to rest a sore elbow, but did come off the bench late in Thursday's 13-11 win in Colorado. Martinez, who was banged up in a nasty collision at home plate on Wednesday, also was a late sub in the wild victory at Coors Field after Jason Varitek got the start.

Thursday's hero, Dustin Pedroia, is back in the No. 3 spot in the Boston lineup. He was 5-for-5 with three home runs and six RBIs in that spot Thursday. Pedroia is 26-for-52 (.500) overall since June 10.

Daniel Nava — who is hitting .350 with seven doubles, eight runs and 10 RBIs in 11 games — is batting second for the second straight night.

The only player in the Sox' starting lineup who has faced Giants lefty Jonathan Sanchez more than once is right fielder Bill Hall, who is 2-for-7 with a home run and four RBIs vs. Sanchez.

Here are the complete lineups for both teams:
