Kim Kardashian and NFL running back Reggie Bush called it quits a couple of months ago. Now, she’s moved on from a Saint to a Cowboy in Miles Austin.

The two haven’t made an official couple announcement as of yet, but according to People.com, things are progressing nicely. So, why make the switch from Bush to Austin? The magazine offered some potential answers.

First, Austin loves his mom. And really, who doesn’t? But, apparently she’s the one who convinced him to play football at all. "I kind of talked him into it," his mom Ann Austin told the Dallas Morning News in 2009.

Second, he’s got a great smile. Once asked what advice he would give to young people, Austin replied, "Keep working and keep smiling."

Third, Austin’s just one in a family full of talented athletes. His dad was a basketball and football star in high school before suffering a knee injury in college. His mom was named softball player of the year in 1997 in Nebraska and now teaches physical education. Not to mention, his sister was the Big East javelin champion at Rutgers University.

Fourth, he’s got a role model with experience dating someone famous. Austin said he looks to Dallas quarterback Tony Romo for advice on how to handle the spotlight.

And finally, he’s sentimental. Sporting a jersey with No. 19 for the Pro Bowl back in February, Austin’s dad told New Jersey’s Herald News that his grandmother was born on the 19th, and she was one of his biggest fans.

In a move not unlike Bull Durham’s Annie Savoy ditching pitcher Nuke Laloosh for catcher Crash Davis, Kardashian has made her choice. Let’s hope, like Savoy, it was the right one.
