There seemed to be much to discuss in Miami recently.

ESPN.com reported Tusday that the much-talked about free agent summit first devised by star free agents LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh took place over the weekend in Miami.

Yet, despite serious consideration that the two will land in Miami alongside a re-signed Wade, ESPN.com’s Chris Broussard and Marc Stein noted that free-agent ringleader James has still not ruled out a return to Cleveland or heading to Chicago with Bosh.

Whatever reservations LeBron may still have, several were quick to label the Heat as the new frontrunners in the LeBron James sweepstakes.

With the opening of the free-agency market just after the stroke of midnight on Thursday morning, stories concerning the three biggest prizes in a stacked class have begun to gain momentum.

Two representatives for Wade told the Miami Herald that no such meeting took place Tuesday, claiming the star was away in Chicago for the weekend.

Whether Wade was in South Beach or not over the weekend, Fox Sports Radio Network’s Stephen A. Smith declared that Miami was the place to be for the NBA’s biggest free agents, stating on his morning radio show that both James and Bosh had committed to joining Wade’s Heat.

The one hurdle remaining for the Heat would be its ability to provide maximum salary contracts to the three free agents. As of now Miami will not be able to while former second overall pick Michael Beasley remains on the books.

Miami was not the only topic of discussion among the three. They also discussed James’ serious consideration of heading to the Chicago Bulls. It was previously reported that the Bulls were frontrunners for the services of both James and Bosh.

Of course, nothing was set in stone over the weekend other than the massive changes that will hit the NBA landscape once this once-in-a-lifetime free agency market opens up.
