Mike Cameron is back in the lineup Thursday after getting another day off, playing center field and batting eighth when the Red Sox and Cleveland Indians finish a four-game series at Progressive Field.
Cameron has played just seven games since coming off the disabled list May 25. He has not played consecutive games this month.
The 37-year-old is a .308 (33-for-107) career hitter in Progressive Field but is one of several Boston starters to never have faced Cleveland right-hander Mitch Talbot.
Those in the starting lineup who have — Dustin Pedroia, David Ortiz and Kevin Youkilis –– are a combined 4-for-6 with two doubles and a home run against Talbot.
Indians designated hitter Travis Hafner, who hit a grand slam in Cleveland's eight-run eighth inning Wednesday, is 3-for-10 with three RBIs against Sox starter Jon Lester.
