Cameron was examined by doctors today, who were able to rule out of number of things, including an addition tear in his abdominal region.
“The pain is from inflamation, and it’s not something Cameron can injure further by playing,” Watney said.
Terry Francona knows that his Opening Day centerfielder is ready to get back in action.
“I think already you can see a different look in his eyes,” Francona noted.
In other injury news, Jacoby Ellsbury went out for the second time on Wednesday to do some work in the field, however there is no timetable on his return.
And Josh Beckett, who hasn’t pitched since May 18 due to a sore back, won’t throw for at least another 10 days.
