Mike Lowell Nowhere to Be Found in Red Sox' Lineup With lefty David Huff pitching for the Tribe on Tuesday, it would seem like the best time to get Mike Lowell some swings in the place of DH David Ortiz.

But Lowell was not on the lineup card.

Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy were puzzled, speculating over where Lowell fits on the team.

“I was quite surprised, I thought with the left-hander pitching [Tuesday], and Ortiz — the fact that he’s 0-for-17, hasn’t had a hit on this road trip — that maybe he’d start Mike Lowell,” Remy said. “Mike Lowell hasn’t even been given the chance to pinch-hit recently. I don’t know what’s going on with Mike Lowell — I don’t know if there’s any interest out there — but he is not a factor on this ball club.”

“I can’t imagine what his timing is like at this point after being off for so long,” Orsillo added.
