MLB Pitchers Driving Hitters Batty as Hurlers Continue to Dominate 2010 Season

MLB Pitchers Driving Hitters Batty as Hurlers Continue to Dominate 2010 Season Former Red Sox pitcher Brian Rose joined SportsDesk’s Jade McCarthy to talk Major League Baseball and in particular, what’s been the reason for the dominating performances turned in by pitchers up to this part of the season.

However, even Rose himself struggled to find the answers as to what’s been the biggest contributing factor to the pitching success this year.

“I’m not sure if it’s the bats, the pitchers, the balls, it could be anything, I don’t have that answer,” Rose said. “But I do know that these guys are going out and dominating the pitching mound.”

Already this year, Dallas Braden and Roy Halladay have thrown perfect games, Ubaldo Jimenez has thrown a no-hitter, and Armando Galarraga and Ted Lilly lost a perfect game and a no-hitter in the ninth inning respectively.
