Some substance is being added to all those Marc Savard rumors.

A report by Nick Kypreos of Sportsnet.ca said that the Bruins' center has waived his no-trade clause to go to two teams. That list, according to the report, will expand to five teams on July 1.

The star center struggled with injuries last season, putting up 33 points in 41 games, but he averaged 87 points in his previous three seasons with the B's.

The popular belief is that the Bruins would like to free up his $4.2 million cap hit over the seven-year deal that Savard signed this past December, and they think they can afford to lose the scoring he brings because of the logjam at the center position that now includes newly drafted Tyler Seguin.
