Rick Viers is joining Roush Fenway's No. 16 Nationwide team as the new crew chief. He will take charge of driver Colin Braun and the No. 16 Ford Fusion starting Saturday at Road America for the Bucyrus 200.

"I'm thrilled with the opportunity," Viers said. "I have to come over and lead the No. 16 team here at Roush Fenway Racing. Just being here for a very short period of time, I can see there are a ton of resources at my disposal, and it's a highly engineer-driven shop, which I really enjoy."

Veirs last served as a crew chief for Bakers Curb Racing before moving over. The Pylersville, Md., native has accumulated eight career victories as a crew chief in the Nationwide Series and has garnered eight top-10 finishes this season.

Viers hopes to bring more success to the No. 16 team and Braun.

"I feel like Road America is a really good place for me to start having Colin in the car, and I'm excited to work with him and the rest of this team," Viers said.

Braun finished 10th last week at Kentucky. He currently sits in 29th place in the Nationwide series with 894 points.
