Cleveland Browns quarterback Colt McCoy tied the knot this past weekend, but the two words that caused the biggest applause at the wedding weren’t “I do.”
They were “Tim Tebow.”
At the reception for McCoy and bride Rachel Glandorf, Texas Longorns teammate and Cincinnati Bengals rookie Jordan Shipley serenaded guests with his classic “When I Grow Up, I Want to be Just Like Colt McCoy.”
The audience loved it, but their favorite part was when Shipley slipped in a Tim Tebow reference.
Glandorf, McCoy’s long-time significant other, is a former Baylor track star and currently a reporter in Austin. She even does pieces on McCoy, much like Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas and his girlfriend Sarah Carbonero famously did in this year’s World Cup in South Africa.
