Dustin Pedroia, Mike Lowell, Jacoby Ellsbury Progressing Well in Rehab Efforts While some took Wednesday's reports that Dustin Pedroia's rehabilitation would take six weeks as bad news, the Boston Globe's Peter Abraham reframed the bulletin with a realistic view.

Since it has only been five weeks –and Pedroia was expected to need six to eight to return– this actually means that the star second baseman is somewhat ahead of schedule.

Meanwhile, Mike Lowell continues to impress in Pawtucket, and the timeframe for Jacoby Ellsbury's return is taking shape.
