Dusty Brown gets his first career start behind the plate for the Red Sox when they wrap up a four-game series with the Texas Rangers on Sunday afternoon.

Brown was brought up from Pawtucket on Saturday and went 0-for-1 off the bench in the Sox' 3-2 win. He has appeared in seven games for Boston over the past two years and made a memorable appearance as a reliever in a blowout loss last year, giving up a run in one inning of work.

The Sox' lineup will feature a host of right-handed hitters against Texas starter C.J. Wilson, who has held lefties to a paltry .096 average this year. David Ortiz is the only left-handed hitter in the lineup. He is 1-for-7 lifetime against the Rangers lefty.

Adrian Beltre is the lone Boston starter who has had success against Wilson, going 5-for-13 with a home run and two walks in their matchups. The rest of the crew is a collective 3-for-25 (.120).

On the other side, in a curious maneuver, Texas manager Ron Washington has installed Vladimir Guerrero in left field for the first time in his All-Star career. The 35-year-old Guerrero has played exactly 1,600 games in right and another 314 as a designated hitter.

Josh Hamilton
, who has been bothered by a calf issue, will DH for the Rangers.
