If Mike Tyson wasn’t already lovable after his role in The Hangover, the boxing legend is making sure he creates that image now.

According to Details magazine, the former undisputed heavyweight champion has decided to dedicate the rest of his life to others, claiming that the first 44 years of his existence were a “f—ing waste.”

Tyson has had many personal battles throughout his storied life and career, including his alleged abusive marriage to actress Robin Givens.

Tyson admits he let fame and fortune go to his head as a young star.

"The first stage of my life was just a whole bunch of selfishness,” Tyson told Details. “Just a whole bunch of gifts to myself and people who didn't necessarily deserve it. 'Greatest man on the planet’? I wasn't half the man I thought I was."

Tyson says that the tragic loss of his four-year-old daughter, Exodus, in 2009 made him realize his wrongdoings. Now, Tyson wants to make amends by helping others.

"So if there's a big plan now, it's just to give,” Tyson told the magazine. “It's selflessness, caring for the people who deserve it. Because I think I'm a pig.”
