Kevin Youkilis Bigger All-Star Snub Than Joey Votto, Jered Weaver While Reds first baseman Joey Votto has an outside chance to win the NL MVP, Red Sox fans think their first baseman — Kevin Youkilis — was the biggest All-Star snub.

Neither Youkilis nor Votto made the All-Star team for their respective league, so Monday’s KGB Poll Question of the Day asked who was the biggest All-Star snub — Youkilis, Votto or Angels pitcher Jered Weaver.

Not surprisingly, Red Sox Nation made their presence felt as fans overwhelmingly said it was Youkilis who had the biggest gripe. He took 89 percent of the vote, while Votto got eight percent and Weaver brought up the rear with only three percent.

Youkilis was hitting .299 with 17 home runs and 54 runs batted in heading into Monday’s tilt with the Rays. Votto, meanwhile, was hitting .312 with 19 homers while driving in 54 runs before hitting two more home runs Monday against the Mets.

Tom Caron and Bob Ryan discussed the results on Red Sox Final.
