Kevin Youkilis Passes Nick Swisher in Day 2 of Final All-Star Spot Voting

Two days into the the 2010 All-Star Game final vote, there is a new leader for the final AL roster spot and his name is Kevin Youkilis.

The Red Sox first baseman took the lead on Tuesday despite trailing after the first full day of voting. Youkilis is vying to become the 34th member of the AL All-Star team after being snubbed when the rosters were announced this weekend.

Youkilis caught and passed Yankees outfielder Nick Swisher who was the leader after the first day of voting. In addition to Youkilis and Swisher, White Sox first baseman Paul Konerko, Twins outfielder Delmon Young and Rangers third baseman Michael Young are also candidates for the final AL roster spot.

Reds first baseman Joey Votto leads the race in the National League. Votto's up against Padres reliever Heath Bell, Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez, Braves reliever Billy Wagner and Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman.

Fans can vote for Youkilis here up until voting ends at 4 p.m. ET on July 8.
