Yet another Red Sox starter has been pulled from a game due to injury, this time it's Kevin Youkilis.

The first baseman showed some discomfort in his lower right leg in the field during the third inning, eventually limping off the field after the final out. Youkilis attempted to lead off the top of the fourth but he was forced to step out due to pain.

Terry Francona and the team trainer came out to examine Youkilis, who went to the ground in an effort to stretch his right leg or foot.

Niuman Romero entered the game in Youkilis' place.

The team's official statement said that Youkilis left due to "right ankle pain."
