LeBron James' Twitter Information Offers Hope for Cavaliers Fans This week, LeBron James is at his absolute most powerful level.

He's the top story every night on SportsCenter, and he makes headlines by not doing anything at all. He is a basketball savior to several NBA cities, and his decision will change lives.

There may be no greater example of this fact than his new Twitter page, which was created on Tuesday and gained hundreds of followers by the second throughout the day. As of this writing, James had 99,887 followers. Check that — it's up to 100,088. OK, now it's at 100,171. Wait, it just climbed to 100,299.

You get the point.

The Twitter page is another piece in the renovation of the marketing of Mr. James, who has made a bazillion dollars in the past seven years and will make two bazillion dollars in the next decade. His new website, lebronjames.com, simply has the words "getting closer" over the star's eyeball, indicating he's got his sights set on something perhaps bigger than Cleveland.

But fans from Cleveland who are looking for a sign of hope can look no further than the Twitter page. In the bio section of his page, it simply says "King of Akron."

Would a man about to leave Akron for good launch a Twitter page with a bio that said "King of Akron" and nothing more? In a word, no.

"Hello World, the Real King James is in the Building 'Finally'," read LeBron's first official Tweet. "My Brother @oneandonlycp3 [Chris Paul] gas'd me up to jump on board so I'm here. Haaaa"

Paul said all he could do was get LeBron to join the social networking site and not divulge any information.

"Couldn't convince him to tell me which team he's goin to but convinced him to join twitter lol," Paul said, adding, "my brother from another mother."

So while James' Twitter account is in its primitive form, it at least offered a fairly significant hint as to where his heart is these days.

Oh, and in case you're wondering, he's up 103,544 followers.
