Red Sox Offense Comes Alive in Terry Francona’s 900th Career Win Friday

Red Sox Offense Comes Alive in Terry Francona's 900th Career Win Friday After suffering a four-game losing streak, the Red Sox seemed to do everything right in Friday night’s 14-3 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.

The win not only dug Boston out of a slump, it also served as manager Terry Francona‘s 900th career victory. Tito now ranks ninth among active managers in the wins column.

The Red Sox offense provided a great cushion of runs so the team could ease the pressure off starter Jon Lester and gave non-starters a chance to get into the lineup.

“We needed that all the way around,” Francona said of the victory. “There were a lot of good things happening tonight.”
