Despite various reports this summer, the Patriots were never seriously in pursuit of free agent wide receiver Terrell Owens.
With T.O. all but signed in Cincinnati, ProFootballTalk.com did some digging regarding the other teams that were seriously interested in adding the talented yet controversial wideout. The Patriots were not on the list.
According to the report, the Rams, Jets, Seahawks and Raiders were in the mix, though Seattle and Oakland only had “preliminary” interest.
