Red Sox third baseman Adrian Beltre was ejected in between the second and third innings after arguing balls and strikes in the second game of a day-night doubleheader with the Mariners on Wednesday night.

With one out in the bottom of the second, Mariners pitcher Felix Hernandez struck Beltre out looking on a pitch that Beltre thought was questionable.

In between innings, Beltre came running in from his position at third base to argue with home plate umpire Dan Bellino. It's unclear what made Beltre come running in, but he ultimately needed to be restrained by teammates Kevin Cash and Victor Martinez.

Red Sox manager Terry Francona was also ejected shortly thereafter by Bellino while trying to defend his player. Francona then got into it with umpire Angel Hernandez who was trying to keep Francona away Bellino.

The All-Star third baseman was replaced in the lineup by the recently called-up Yamaico Navarro.
