Alex Rodriguez Due for Kangaroo Court Fine After Missing Team Photo On his long and drawn-out quest to belt home run No. 600, Alex Rodriguez is somewhat preoccupied. It's hard, then, to blame the Yankees' star third baseman for getting about the team photo.

Still, as the New York Post reports, A-Rod is expecting to hear it from his teammates.

"I'm going to try to delay kangaroo court as much as possible because I know I'm going to get crushed," Rodriguez told the Post. "The boys are going to get me good. No excuse."

The story says that Rodriguez simply forgot to check the team's message board before leaving on Monday night, when the team announced the photo would be taken on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. Rodriguez showed up for work at 4:15 p.m., so the team was forced to use a stand-in for him. A-Rod will be added to the photo digitally.

"I know one of our front office guys had to play Alex Rodriguez for a couple of minutes," A-Rod said. "I have to find that guy and shake his hand because it must have been a tough situation."

Rodriguez, of course, has had his mind on other things, as he's been trying since July 22 to hit his 600th home run. That didn't go so well, either, as he went 0-for-3 on Tuesday in the Yankees' 8-2 loss at home.
