Alex Rodriguez is a 10-time Silver Slugger on the baseball field, but now he’s making headlines on the silver screen.

First, it was reported that Rodriguez will join Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis with a role in an upcoming movie called Friends with Benefits. Now, A-Rod is making more Hollywood news, but this time his face won’t appear on camera.

Dustin Truesdell, an obscure actor and San Francisco Giants fan, will be playing the role of Rodriguez in the upcoming Moneyball movie, based on the top-selling book by Michael Lewis.

The movie is about the Oakland Athletics and GM Billy Beane, and the A’s played A-Rod’s Texas Rangers on Opening Day in the 2002 season.

Truesdell will do his best to reenact Rodriguez’s 0-for-4 performance in that game.

Here’s a video interview with Truesdell, who certainly bares considerable resemblance to the All-Star Rodriguez.
