The 25-year-old, who is entering his final year of a five-year, $12 million contract, successfully named all seven of his children on the spot in the latest episode of Hard Knocks.
"I have seven kids in five different states [with six different women]," he said in a conference call in March. "I made some wrong decisions my first two years in the NFL, and now I have to take that responsibility to be a father. I need to deal with my kids and child-support issues. Those things are being taken care of. I’m going to be the best father to them that I can."
The NY Post recently wrote: "Cromartie, the father of the
bump-and-run off the field, provides a roll call of his seven children, which
includes a trio of 3-year-olds, from six different mothers."
The paper also claims that the Jets had to front $500,000 of his $1.7 million salary this year
to "clean up his lingering paternity issues."
Cromartie has recently added to this tally as his latest newborn –a girl, Jersey — puts him at eight children.
