Are the Texas Rangers Good Enough to Make it to the World Series? The Texas Rangers enter Wednesday night with an 8 1/2-game lead over the Angels in the AL West. This lead is the largest among the three first-place AL teams, and based on their weak competition, the lead only appears to be getting larger.

Despite cooling off from a scorching June where they went 21-6, the Rangers are well on their way to securing an AL West playoff berth.

The club is third in the AL in batting average and ERA, and they're in the Top 5 in runs, hits, steals and OBP.

Since the All-Star break, they've gone 15-9 and are outscoring opponents 103-77. The Rangers are one of just three teams outside the AL East with a winning road record, so they're clearly a solid road team.

But how good are they? Do you think they're good enough to make it to to the World Series? Text 'SOX1' to 542542 for yes or text 'SOX2' to 542542 for no.
