Donovan spends the majority of his time in South Beach, filming his hit television show that airs on USA. He says that the Miami natives are definitely excited for the new trio, and his exposure to the Miami Heat organization has changed his mind about their championship endeavors.
“I’ve met some of the office guys over there, its’ a great organization,” Donovan said during an interview on NESN Daily. “They really care about a championship. If they’ve got the money and the knowledge to get someone like the King, then let them have it.”
Despite his respect for Miami’s summer surge, Donovan still holds true to his Boston roots. When NESN co-host Uri Berenguer asked Donovan who had the better big three, Donovan obviously sided with the Celtics.
“One’s proven and one isn’t,” Donovan said with a laugh. “So until [Chris] Bosh, LeBron [James] and D-Wade [Dwyane Wade] can dethrone the Celtics, we still have our Big Three.”
