The ex-wife of Lorenzen Wright has revealed to police that the former NBA player had left her home with a box of drugs and an unknown amount of money on the night of his disappearance, according to The Associated Press.

Wright was reported missing on July 18 and was found dead in a wooded Memphis area 10 days later. On the night of the 18th, Wright took two trips to the home of his ex-wife, Sherra Wright. First, she saw him leave with the box of drugs, only to return a short time later and leave again with the undisclosed amount of money.

Sherra Wright also said she heard her ex-husband on the phone during one of his brief trips at her home. She reported hearing him tell someone on the phone that he was going to "flip something for $110,000." She said she was unsure of who he was speaking with.

Lorenzen Wright reportedly left the house after the phone call, and got into a car with an unidentified driver. This was the last time the 13-year NBA veteran was seen.

Police also reported that Wright owned a shotgun and a handgun, and an extensive search of his home and vehicles failed to turn up either weapon. Shell casings of different caliber bullets were found at the scene where Wright was shot, but the casings have not yet been matched to a specific weapon.

Police are also continuing the search for Wright's cell phone, from which police dispatchers received a call on the night of the homicide. Dispatchers reported hearing noises that sounded like gunshots before the call was dropped.

No arrests have been made yet in the homicide case and the Memphis police have yet to release any information about possible suspects.
