Former UFC Fighter Roger Huerta Defends Woman in Street Fight

All that fighting in the octagon paid off for Roger Huerta, the former UFC fighter who was seen on video involved in a street fight in Austin, Texas.

TMZ.com posted the video, which is a bit hard to make complete sense of. It does, however, clearly show a big-muscled man punch a woman in the head from behind. Huerta then approaches the attacker, takes his shirt off (out of habit, probably) and attacks the man.

Huerta's fight with the man is not captured on video, but the attacker lay on the ground for some time.

"I have not spoken to Roger yet about this incident, but I can say that it's in his nature to be very protective of women," Huerta's manager told TMZ.

Huerta, who appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated in 2007 as part of MMA's move to the mainstream, was not arrested, according to TMZ.
