Sara Saco-Vertiz Breaks Up With Not-So-Brave Boyfriend After Foul Ball Mishap in Houston

Sports are generally a fun diversion from the stresses and pains of real life, but unfortunately, there is some serious news from the world of sports to deliver: The couple of foul ball fame is no more.

Earlier this week, an Astros fan was caught ducking out of the way of a foul ball, leaving his girlfriend to take the line drive off the elbow. His lame excuse was that he “lost it in the lights.”

Now, he’s lost his girlfriend.

Bo Wyble and Sara Saco-Vertiz appeared together on CBS’ The Early Show, where they talked about their 15 minutes of Internet fame.

“It’s still not a big deal — it’s not, it’s not big news,” Saco-Vertiz told Harry Smith. “It’s the fact that so many people watched it. I didn’t think that was going to happen.”

When asked if the two were still together, well … things aren’t so good.

“It’s not over because of the ball, ” Saco-Vertiz said.
