Harry Caray Critiques Michael Jordan's Baseball Swing From Way Back When

It’s hard to believe that it was 16 years ago already that basketball great Michael Jordan became minor league baseball player Michael Jordan.

With ESPN devoting a short film in its 30 for 30 series to Jordan’s brief baseball career following his first retirement from basketball, why not re-visit that interesting career move on Jordan’s behalf?

Check out this video, a pregame interview with Jordan and longtime Cubs announcer, the late Harry Caray. The great Caray begins the interview by telling MJ that seeing him play baseball is “the biggest thrill of my life.” He of course goes on to add, though, that he has “… deducted that hitting a baseball is [Jordan’s] biggest problem.”

Michael Jordan’s minor league baseball days also give us the opportunity to bring up Red Sox manager Terry Francona who had the chance to manage Jordan with the Double-A Birmingham Barons. Watch this video, with a younger Francona talking about Jordan’s luxury bus the “Jordan Cruiser.” That’s sweet.
