Jarrod Saltalamacchia Makes His First Trip Back to Texas With Red SoxThe Red Sox and Rangers open a three-game series Friday night in Texas, and for Red Sox catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia, it's an early return to where he's spent most of his big league career.

Saltalamacchia, who was traded to the Red Sox on the July 31 trading deadline, was recently called up from Triple-A Pawtucket. He struggled some during his time in Texas though and has yet to develop into the catcher many thought he would.

The Boston Globe's Peter Abraham joined Red Sox GameDay Live on Friday night to talk about the catcher and said that so far, Saltalamacchia has impressed the Red Sox with his work ethic.

Be sure to check out the video below to hear more from Abraham on Saltalamacchia, including his speculation on what kind of reception the young backstop can expect to hear from the Ranger faithful.
