With Kevin Youkilis heading to the DL and J.D. Drew out for the Red Sox, manager Terry Francona has put together another makeshift lineup for Tuesday's meeting with the Cleveland Indians.

Darnell McDonald, who has been bothered by a sore back, is back in center field and batting second. Impressive rookie Ryan Kalish will make his first career start in right and Bill Hall gets the start in left for the 21st time this season, the latest in a seemingly never-ending run of new outfield rotations for Boston.

Youkilis left Monday night's games with a jammed right thumb. He was due to receive an MRI on Tuesday morning and was placed on the DL just a few hours before first pitch. His absence gives Mike Lowell the start at first.

The starters have had limited experience against Cleveland lefty David Huff, posting a collective .333 (8-for-24) mark against him.

Here is the latest edition of the Boston lineup:

1. Marco Scutaro, SS
2. Darnell McDonald, CF
3. Victor Martinez, C
4. David Ortiz, DH
5. Adrian Beltre, 3B
6. Mike Lowell, 1B
7. Jed Lowrie, 2B
8. Ryan Kalish, RF
9. Bill Hall, LF

Here is the Indians' starting lineup:

1. Trevor Crowe, CF
2. Asdrubal Cabrera, SS
3. Shin-Soo Choo, RF
4. Shelley Duncan, LF
5. Jordan Brown, DH
6. Matt Laporta, 1B
7. Luis Valbuena, 2B
8. Jayson Nix, 3B
9. Lou Marson, C
