Red Sox shortstop Marco Scutaro will be back in a place he's been most of the year for the Red Sox on Saturday afternoon against the Yankees — batting leadoff.

Outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury isn't in Saturday's lineup against Yankees ace CC Sabathia, so Scutaro will be called on to resume leadoff duties as he has for most of the season in wake of Ellsbury's rib injuries.

It also doesn't hurt that Scutaro has had relative career success against Sabathia. He's a .333 (8-for-24) lifetime hitter against the big lefty with four RBIs.

Sox third baseman Adrian Beltre will look to extend his 12-game hitting streak to a baker's dozen from the five hole Saturday afternoon. During the streak, Beltre has been very good, hitting .375 in his last six games and driving in 10 runs.

Finally, Mike Lowell is back at first base for the Red Sox while Victor Martinez will catch and bat cleanup for Boston. Bill Hall is in left in place of Ryan Kalish.

Here is how the Red Sox will start:

1. Marco Scutaro, SS
2. Jed Lowrie, 2B
3. David Ortiz, DH
4. Victor Martinez, C
5. Adrian Beltre, 3B
6. Mike Lowell, 1B
7. J.D. Drew, RF

Here's the lineup for the Yankees that will go to work against John Lackey:

3. Mark Teixeira, 1B
4. Alex Rodriguez, 3B
5. Robinson Cano, 2B
