Despite going 15 at-bats without a hit, Marco Scutaro remains in the top spot of the Red Sox' lineup when they take on Toronto on Wednesday night.

Scutaro has cooled off considerably while remaining in the leadoff position. Jacoby Ellsbury, who is 3-for-6 in his last two games from the ninth spot, remains at the bottom of the order vs. Blue Jays right-hander Shaun Marcum.

Scutaro's average is at .270 for the season, the lowest it has been since June 3.

Very few Boston starters have had much success against Marcum, with the exception of the heart of the order. Adrian Beltre and Mike Lowell, the fifth and sixth hitters in Wednesday's lineup, are a combined 12-for-31 (.387) with two home runs vs. Marcum.

The rest of the order is 15-for-65 (.231) against the righty.
