Mark Sanchez Lover, Not Fighter in Tom Brady, 'Hard Knocks' War of Words When Tom Brady made his “I hate the Jets” comments, he probably knew the media storm that would ensue.

This much, however, probably wasn’t planned.

After his words became breaking news, Patriots teammates and coach Bill Belichick unanimously backed Brady up. Because apparently nobody in Foxboro watches Hard Knocks.

Jets head coach Rex Ryan, of course, felt compelled to chime in.

“Hell, he knows we hate the Patriots, so what’s the difference?” asked the Jets skipper.

Then, out of nowhere, Dan Marino even entered the fray.

“If you asked me when I was playing, I would have said the same thing,” he told the New York Post. “I’ve got no problem with that.”

Marino also went on to suggest that while his Miami Dolphins are flying under the radar right now in the AFC East, Mark Sanchez may struggle to deal with the sudden pressure on him.

“There aren’t as many expectations on your rookie year as there will be
this season, especially coming off the AFC Championship game,” Marino
said. “They were there last year, now can he take us to a Super Bowl? That’s a lot to live up to.”

Sanchez, though, decided to take the high road as he entered the Hard Knocks conversation.

“No, I love the Patriots. I love Tom,” he said, before looking straight into a camera. “I love you, Tom.”

It’s neither here nor there,” He humbly continued. “We respect the heck out of them. I think
he’s a great quarterback, it’s a great franchise, and we need to bring
our best when we play them — every time.”

The much-anticipated next episode of Hard Knocks — in which many expect Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis to appear at camp in a surprising twist — airs Wednesday night.

There may be only one person for Roger Clemens to blame.

“Roger Clemens was really bad for Roger Clemens. Don’t do the crime if
you can’t do the time! Another asterisk in the record books. How sad.”
