The Boston College football players have spoken, and the team now officially has its leaders for the 2010 season.

Offensive tackle Anthony Castonzo, defensive end Alex Albright, free safety Wes Davis and fullback James McCluskey, all seniors, will be the Eagles’ captains this year as determined by a team vote.

Castonzo was an All-ACC preseason pick and is a Rhodes Scholarship nominee.

Albright’s eight tackles for a loss ranked second on the team in 2009.

Davis led the Eagles last year with three interceptions.

And McCluskey is looking to bounce back from a year in which he only played eight games due to a torn Achilles tendon.

BC opens its season at home on Sept. 4 at 1 p.m. against Weber State.
