Red Sox Involved in Multiple Charitable Efforts This Season From fashion shows to strikeouts for kids, the Red Sox Foundation is working on several charitable efforts this season involving your favorite Red Sox stars.

NESN's Tom Caron spoke with Red Sox Foundation manager Ann Zeigler during Red Sox Gameday Live, and she provided information about ongoing and upcoming charitable events this season. Red Sox starting pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka and his wife Tomoyo have formed a program called "Dice-K's Strikeouts for Kids," which donates $500 to the Red Sox Foundation for every strikeout he's compiled this season. So far, Matsuzaka has struck out 87 batters, therefore donating $43,500 thus far to charity.

Zeigler also took the time to talk about the upcoming "From Fenway to the Runway" fashion show that will take place at the Natick Collection on Sept. 8. The show will feature Red Sox wives modeling fashions from several different boutiques and stores, including Nordstrom, Tiffany's, lululemon and Lord & Taylor.
