The Red Sox recalled right-handed reliever Robert Manuel from Triple-A Pawtucket prior to Tuesday night's game with the Baltimore Orioles.

Manuel will fill the spot in the bullpen vacated when the club shipped righty Manny Delcarmen to Colorado for a minor leaguer earlier in the day.

The 27-year-old Manuel will be making his third stint with the Red Sox. He allowed three earned runs in seven innings over his first two call-ups.

An International League All-Star, Manuel has gone 8-2 with a 1.68 ERA and 13 saves in 45 appearances for the PawSox. He owns a 2.38 ERA in eight career appearances with the Cincinnati Reds and the Red Sox.
