Former Eagles running back Brian Westbrook may have finally found a place to land, and it looks like it's going to be with the St. Louis Rams.

According to ESPN.com's Mike Sando, the running back will likely sign and join with the Rams on Monday. Sando cites talks with John Clayton in reporting the news on his Twitter page.

Westbrook, who played only nine games in 2009 due to issues with concussions, will give the Rams a veteran backup option to Pro Bowl running back Steven Jackson.

In his last full season in 2008, Westbrook ran for 936 yards and also caught 54 passes for 402 receiving yards on the way to scoring 14 total touchdowns.

If Westbrook is healthy, he's an option to help lessen the load for Jackson, who registered 324 carries last year, the third most in the NFL.
