In a season riddled with injuries and ups-and-downs, one consistent piece has been Marco Scutaro.

It seems that even Scutaro's good fortune may now be running out as well. While he has been battling a pinched nerve in his neck all season, Scutaro has missed just four of the 123 games played, tying him for fewest on the team. He has scored 69 runs and hit .273 in 2010.

Now, he is having trouble with his throwing shoulder and says that long throws are particularly difficult. As a result, he has altered his throwing motion, reports WEEI.

"I don't know how it started," Scutaro said. "But I have hard time reaching back on throws."

He left Friday night's game in the fifth inning.
