Report: Mark Teixeira Leaves Game With Thumb Bruise

The Yankees are in the midst of an offensive explosion on Saturday night, but all is not well for the club in pinstripes.

First baseman Mark Teixeira left the game after the second inning with a bruised thumb, apparently incurred fielding a grounder for the final out of the inning, reports the New York Post.

The seriousness of the injury is not currently known.
