After he rejected the Red Sox' previous MLB-suggested offer that included a $634,000 signing bonus, the Red Sox and pitcher Brandon Workman have agreed to terms.

The 57th pick, regarded by many as a steal at that position, wanted a $1.25 million bonus, but the Sox got him to accept $800,000 on Monday, the final day for teams to sign draft picks.

The right-hander out of the University of Texas will head to Fort Myers to begin his career in just the coming days, reports WEEI.
