Shaquille O’Neal, Rex Ryan, Yankees Fans Abusing Egos, According to L.A. Times

The Los Angeles Times compiled an All-Ego team of athletes, and few would argue with its two top stars.

LeBron James and Ben Roethlisberger were named by the L.A. Times in a story titled, “All-Ego team is full of itself.”

Boston sports fans also probably won’t be bothered by the fact that Rex Ryan made the list, though it’s hard to tell what the following mention of Bill Belichick is supposed to mean:

Buddy Ryan‘s little boy is rattling cages around the NFL. Is he a breath of fresh air or hot air? Time will tell. With a little effort, he could top the All-Ego list. In the plus category: Bill Belichick must lie awake nights worrying about this guy.”

Also on the list are Tiger Woods, Alex Rodriguez, Manny Ramirez and Kobe Bryant, with Shaquille O’Neal and Yankees fans landing on the “dishonorable mention” list with Belichick, Chad Ochocinco, Terrell Owens and others.

Of course, creating a Santa Claus-esque naughty list isn’t a very nice thing to do, but it’s impossible to argue against some of those names.
