He may be The Big Shamrock during his tenure in Boston, but Shaquille O'Neal is preparing for life after nicknames.

In a New York Times interview this week, O'Neal declared that after he completes his doctorate from Barry University in Florida, he will go by Dr. O'Neal.

Prior to becoming "The Big Shamrock," O'Neal was known as "Shaq," "The Diesel," "Shaq Fu," "The Big Aristotle," "The Big Daddy," "Superman," "The Big Agave," "The Big Cactus," "The Big Shaqtus," "The Big Galactus," "Wilt Chamberneezy," "The Big Baryshnikov," "The Real Deal" and "Shaqovic."

He also said in the interview that he plans on surpassing Wilt Chamberlain's career points mark, and that the last time that he panicked was in 1981 when he was 9. He accidentally lit his teddy bear on fire.
