Tampa Bay Rays Lack Offensive Punch Necessary for Deep Postseason Run
The Tampa Bay Rays may have the best pitching in all of baseball, but due to their often anemic and always inconsistent hitting, Red Sox fans do not believe that they will be successful come October.

Even in the Rays 3-2 victory over Boston on Saturday night, Tampa's scores came on a sacrifice foul-out and two solo home runs.

The team ranks a meager 24th in batting average in the majors, despite scoring the fourth most runs in the AL.

The Rays have been no-hit twice this season, and they were nearly no-hit for a third time until Evan Longoria broke up Brandon Morrow's no-no with two outs in the ninth on an infield single.
